After rewarding careers in both classical music and interior design, I bring to my jewelry making a keen appreciation of color, composition, and fine detail.  The musician in me has a deep respect for form, rhythm, and harmony, while my experience in textiles excites my love of color and texture.  When I discovered BEADS, a new passion was ignited and Rae Design was born!  

 

My beads come from all over the world.  I particularly like working with Swarovski crystal glass from Austria, Czech glass, freshwater pearls, and tiny Japanese glass seed beads.  The metal components I most often use are antiqued brass or sterling silver.  

 

I like to say that my jewelry is an elegant blend of vintage style and modern chic. While I love creating pieces that look like they’ve been handed down through generations, I also enjoy incorporating “on trend” elements into my line.  This means you’ll find antiqued brass filigree paired with sparkling crystal glass or perhaps classic freshwater pearls paired with leather cord…

 

Whether I’m making earrings, necklaces, or bracelets, I thoroughly enjoy every moment of the design process and it is my pleasure to share my work with you!
